The Bump

13 weeks

I know it doesn't look like much to most, but if you know how skeleton skinny I am, this is a lot to me. So far the baby is healthy and lively and we are trying hard to keep it that way. The baby only allows me to eat certain foods. I live off of grapes, apples, pears, oatmeal, soy beans, cranberry juice, Powerade, rice cakes, Del Taco taco's, Taco Bell Nachos, and antacids. I would gain more weight I'm sure if I could eat the delicious things that contain gluten. I don't know how I'm gonna pack on the calories without them.

aww so cute!

does the baby allow soups? =)they always fill me up and contain lots of good nutrients. maybe soups with buckwheat or potatoes to make them hearty? you could also add olive oil for good plant fat. i think baby will really like them when the cooler weather comes...

have you tried quinoa? it's full of protein and other good stuff and it's really tasty, like a nuttier rice. nuts and grains will add more healthy calories to your diet.

i find a lot of good gluten-free recipes on raw food blogs. its amazing what you can do with fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds and grains!

check out my last post - i made gluten free vegan cheez pizza! so yummy!!!

hang in there and stay positive. eat lots of fruits and veggies. i will keep you and your baby in my prayers. =)

That is the smallest baby bump I have ever seen :P You are too cute! I ate a ton of cereal when I was pregnant. (It was quick, bland, and easy on the tummy which was my only food criteria.) I was sick the whole nine months so, as you can imagine, I ate a LOT of cereal. They make Corn and Rice Chex which are already gluten-free and some of my favorite cereals.

You look great! Not sure if you shop there, but I was just at Fresh and Easy and they have gluten free cake mixes...my mom got very excited when I showed her! Glad you have found foods that agree with the baby right now!
