Eating Habits

Lately M.E. has been either not eating or pretending to eat. But if it comes to having a beverage, she is all about it. So Robert and I came up with a plan on how to get the nutrients in M.E.

Green eggs and ham (puree spinach and add to scrambled egg mixture with little cubes of ham)

Cookies & Cream (plain Greek yogurt, some honey, broken up Nature Valley granola bar, and sliced strawberries or bananas or any fruit)

Strawberry Short Cake (toast, pancake, or waffle with Nutella and sliced strawberries.

dried fruit with nuts and m&m's
goldfish crackers and string cheese
carrot and cucumber sticks in ranch
pretzels and peanut butter

Chocolate Milk (chocolate powder, milk, banana, spinach leaves, and ice in a blender)

Sunshine Smoothie (frozen pineapple, banana, strawberries, plain Greek yogurt, honey, orange juice, and spinach leaves)

Very Berry (frozen berry medley with cherries, blackberries, blueberries, or raspberries, banana, strawberries, spinach leaves, ice, plain Greek yogurt, and apple juice)

Mac n' Cheese (we use Trader Joe's brand and add steamed broccoli)
Rice and Seaweed (brown rice packets and seaweed packs; both found at Trader Joe's and Costco)
Ham & Cheese Hearts (ham ans cheese sandwich cut out like a heart using a cookie cutter)
Tuna and cucumber on crackers
Chicken nuggets and snow peas with ranch
Apple slices, cheese slices, on crackers

She eats what we eat as a family, I just cut up her meal smaller so she will most likely eat it.

A good book to try that inspired me a lot was Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld. It gets all of us to eat the fruits and veggies the whole family needs.

It is still a power struggle, but switching things up is helping in a lot of ways. If you have any meal suggestions that your kids like, I am more than happy to try them and add them to the list crediting you. Drop me a line: epearson21(at)gmail(dot)com
